Here in America, we're living through some fairly rocky political times. It seems that the vast majority of the country struggles to agree on anything. Party politics aside, and in no way looking to cause controversy, it's about time we got some objectively good news from D.C.
Well, beer drinkers rejoice. Recent news states that Senate Republicans are pushing a bill that would, theoretically, make your (domestic) beer cheaper.
One of the great things about visiting new cities is trying new, regional beer. On a business trip to Atlanta, I jumped at the chance to try a handful of beers I can't find in my native Texas.

Well guys, Labor day has come and gone. We're officially moving out of the summer and transitioning into the fall. Fall is a great time to live in the U.S. of A. It's a time of football and Octoberfest brews. It means basketball season, Thanksgiving and Christmas are almost here. Unfortunately, it also means that just about every commodity on earth will be released as "pumpkin", "pumpkin spice" or something of a similar variety. As someone who wasn't born in America, this obsession with pumpkins, cinnamon and a plethora of other weird spices that makes my nose hurt is completely bewildering.
Following my trial of JosephsBrau Hefeweizen, I was excited to try their Summer Brew. Having seen it ranked as the third best beer exclusively carried by Trader Joes, in this Business Insider article, I knew this would be good. The hefeweizen obliterated my expectations going in. While its not the most amazing beer I have ever tried, it is a damn good one - and, at $1.17 a bottle, I was not going to complain.
Another month is in the books and 2017 is flying by. I reviewed a total of 15 brews in the month of June! These rankings highlight my thoughts of each beer from worst to first and are purely my opinion. You may not agree, and that's completely fine!
With its reputation preceding it, Arrogant Bastard Ale has cemented itself in the social media presence of the craft beer community. Not a single day goes by in which I am able to avoid that sassy looking demon. For that reason, when I saw Arrogant Bastard on the menu at San Antonio's Flying Saucer, I had to include it in my flight.

The Abita Brewing Company, located about 30 miles outside of New Orleans, was opened in 1986. In its first year, the brewery produced 1,500 barrels of beer. The company grew quickly.
