Beer Revew – Samuel Adams Berliner Weisse

The Samuel Adams Beers of Summer Variety pack is an interesting group of brews. Of course, the flagship Boston Lager is included. My first "new" choice of the pack, the Summer Ale, failed to meet my expectations. It seemed confused as to what it hoped to be, and so it really didn't become anything distinguishable. It was bitter, its was sour, it was meh. After a couple weeks rest, I decided to have another crack at the 12-pack, this time selecting the Berliner Weisse. As a wheat beer fan, I was cautiously optimistic.

Battle of the Beers – Summer Brews

As we come to the end of July, it may seem as though Summer is almost through. But here in South Texas, we are just starting to hit our stride of 100 + degree days. Summer sun means pools, beaches, rivers, barbecues and trying anything possible to beat the heat.  Given the time of year, I took it upon myself to collect (and drink) a number of breweries' seasonal offerings, in the name of science. In this Battle of the Beers, I will be ranking these brews from worst to first.

Beer Review – Samuel Adams Summer Ale

Going into this review, I wasn't sure what to expect. I was initially fairly excited to learn it was a wheat ale, though I was unsure if a lemon flavor would compliment such a brew. Typically speaking I had come to expect wheat beers to be smooth and creamy in texture, and although orange tends to compliment some of them, lemon just didn't seem to fit the bill.

Beer Review – Samuel Adams Boston Lager

Happy Fourth of July everyone! While I was not born in the U.S.A, I have called the United States my home for almost six years. In commemoration of the 241st birthday of this great nation, I decided to review an American beer today. What better beer to choose than one named after a founding father - Samuel Adams!
